Red rose has a sweet way to say things
Friends, how many of you have visited Cuba?
I visited Cuba some years ago and I have to say you are right in some aspects, but I´m not totaly agree.
Certanly Castro is a dictator, an certanly people is poor, to poor, but people is as poor as there were when they live in 1950 when the president of Cuba was Fulgencio Batista.
Then at that country, wich is not part of central america, but also of Caribean, there were lots of cabarets, cassinos, prostitutes, lots of money running from one side to another of the island, but that money were not part of the salary of cubans, that money were for the rich people, poor people have been poor all the time. Some things changes after Castro. Do you know that the basic education of cubans is the last grade before the University. At Mexico, example the basic educxation of people -I mean the level all the mexicans get- is high school. at Cuba people have a higer level, but unfurtunally there aren´t enough places to work, no industry, no oportunities, then you can find a lawyer as a waitress in a restaurant, or a nuclear enggenering working as a prostitute...
There is another aspect. Since Castro take the power USA, and the big potency aply obstacle in order not permit the Cuba progress. The another countries make agreements to not make investments at Cuba, a country need foreing investments too, need to sell its productos to another countries, but USA do whatever can to not to permit that happens. It is a big problems but not all the responsabilitie is from Castro, but also from USA.
Unknownsu I hear a minister of USA that Canada was the backyard of USA, equal to México.
Redrose has a different image of Castro because of the kind of Government at China.
