His name is Hugh Jackman he is really good in musicals too. He played the lead on broadway "the boy from oz". The story about Peter Allen (now deceased).

Also there are other Aussie actors in hollywood right now but not so well known. Cameron Daddo was here a few years back. He faked an American accent in order to get his first big job in hollywood. They had no idea that he was an Aussie when they hired him.
Another actor I know is Costas Mandylor, an Aussie of Greek background. You can google his name also.

I remembered Rory Calhoun's name; he was in the television show the Texan. I must admit I was too young for that show but they re-ran it and I remember him.

The DADDO's are a breed of there own in Australia. They are all on television just about. Cameron recently did a circus show on Australian tv. It was actually quite good.

I wondered what happened to Daddo!

Calhoun was quite a guy. A bit of a bad boy in his younger days. I don't remember The Texan either. I spent a Christmas Eve at his house once. Later in the evening, after a few drinks, I found him in the hallway with his prized bone handled .45 colts proudly in his belt. He had a good heart and would talk with anyone and his Aussie wife was most gracious.

That was Paul Hogan. Believe it or not before he became an actor/comedian he worked as a rigger on the Sydney Harbour Bridge. :)
