Who has been up close and personal with a KOALA or KANGAROO!

Postby Shazzam » Sat Jul 16, 2005 9:04 am

I was wondering how many people have ever come up and close to either a Koala or Kangaroo. Either in Zoo's in their countries or in Australia?

I've got a roo hide on my floor. Does that count?
I also have a travel bag made out of a Queensland crocodile.

Lots of times! I live in a regional area in NSW so everytime we drive to the city there are herds of them beside the road. When I have gone camping I have actually woken in the night to see a couple of BIG RED Kangaroos at the waterhole next to my tent.

Koalas are becoming scarce but my friend and I saved a baby koala when it got too close to the road. They are beautiful, but not cuddly they have really big claws! Nasty little critters if they panic. 8) 8)

They look cute but they have some really nasty little habits, I wouldn't want to be a girl Koala for all the money in the world. You should see how the male koala goes about the mating process...Not pretty! They bite and everything and they sound like mad dogs grunting etc...YUCK!

Well I boxed with a kangaroo once. And one time a herd of brumbies ran through my camp and woke me up one morning.
And also, I surfed on the same wave with a family of dolphins and another time with a penguin.
