The affect of terrorism in Australia!

Postby Shazzam » Sat Jul 16, 2005 9:37 am

On Friday Australian's suffered the loss of the first victim to the bombings in London. Australia has a very close connection with England because we are part of the Commonwealth (whether we all like it or not). Sam Ly was a 28 year old man with hopes and dreams for the future including having children. He was living in London furthering his career in IT. He had so much ahead of him. The world weeps.......

We have other Australian citizens in crisis. One victim a woman (her name hasn't been released) who has had both her legs amputated and is in critical condition.
I just feel sick about the situation and I wonder how long it will be before terrorism hits our shores. I wish the world could find a solution, so that we could all live together in acceptance and harmony. I just don't think anything is worth the loss of life...These people were innocent. Their only crime was catching public transport to get themselves to work. Something we all do everyday.....WHY!! If we don't work we don't have public service; police, hospitals, education, roads etc etc. People that work perform a public service every day!

Are there no Australian's even in EC that feel that they could contribute something to this forum?

Surely someone has something to add!

Yes, you are right. Then they should put kegs of fine lager beer in all Mosques instead.

The affect of terrorism hit Australia hard today as thousands of people turned up at a Cathedral in Newcastle to the funeral of a husband and wife who were killed in the recent terrorist bombings in Bali.

There two young sons were coffin bearers. It was so sad. These two young boys have been orphaned by this act of cowardess.

Cowards? I think it is more like retardedness. There has to be something defective in people that could do this. I would even go as far to say satanic.

No Danyet it is an act of cowardess. These people are hypnotised by power and religion; and a feeling of unfairness.

Yes the acts are definately evil there is no doubt. But if you apply a mental problem then you reduce their capability, these people are capable of understanding right from wrong. They have been reduced to this.
