LLEYTON HEWITT MARRIES BECK CARTWRIGHT

Postby Shazzam » Thu Jul 21, 2005 11:34 am

Australia tennis ace (no.2) in the World has married his fiancee Beck Cartwright at a lovely ceremony at SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE. Followed by a reception at Taronga Park Zoo which overlooks Sydney Harbour.

Beck Cartwright is a star of an Australian Soap Opera called "Home and Away" that is very big in Australia and very popular in other countries (mostly England). Beck is also 4-5 months pregnant with their first child.

Everyone wishes them luck. We only wish that we could afford the type of wedding celebration that they had! But hey you are only young once.

How many people out there even know who these two are? I am really interested to see how far their celebrity goes!!!

Lleyton Hewitt is the number 2 Tennis player in the World (Roger Federer is Number 1). Beck Cartwright is an actress she was on a soap opera in Australia called HOME AND AWAY. She has retired as they are expecting a baby.

Lleyton was engaged to tennis player Kim Clijsters until last year.

You may have seen him play tennis. I doubt if you have ever seen Beck Cartright unless you get HOME AND AWAY in your Country. I know that it is screened in England and is very popular there.

They are huge in Australia; I don't know why really!!

I was just curious to see how many other people from different countries had heard of them. Sometimes a celebrity is known world-wide. I doubted that these two would be.

The average Aussie is too smart or down to earth to feel the need for celebrities anyway. Thats one of the main reasons Hollywood types like to spend time in OZ. They don't get "mobbed" when there.

I must admit celebrities aren't a big thing in Australia. That doesn' t stop us girls reading gossip magazines though.

Lleyton can' t beat Federer. After being defeated at the US Open semi finals and now at the Masters Tournament in the US in the final against Federer. Lleyton has said that he can't see himself being able to beat Federer with his standard of play; that is why he is number one; Lleyton said; he is unpassable.

At least it is glad to see that he is able to offer flattery to an oponent that he admires (great sportsmanship). His wife Beck is due to give birth very shortly and being his first child; maybe Lleyton will take some time of the circuit.

I just hope it isn't too long; all us Aussies love him for his great fighting spirit! GO LLEYTON!!!!!! 8) 8) 8) :) :D :D
