ANZAC BISCUITS anyone?

Postby Shazzam » Wed Oct 12, 2005 4:53 am

Do you want to try something fully aussie?

These biscuits were made by woman during the war as they didn't take too many ingredients to make (as there was a shortage of flour and butter).

If you want to have a look at how this biscuits are made and a little bit about these aussie icons click on the link below:

Let me know what you think. 8)

I bet my cousin would love to try to make these cookies. She loves cupcakes and cookies. I think I'm gonna give it a try, too. I will be busy working this weekend, so I think I'll try them the week after next week or on Halloween. If I happened to make them bad, I'll blame on the spookiness of Halloween. "It's not my fault; it's Halloween's."

Lenny I was having a look on the internet and I found a much better recipe for Anzac Biscuits this one is identical to the one I use if you want to have a look; then you can chose.

Do you think it might of been damper? I have looked everywhere and I can't find anything. I know that in the bush you can make damper in the camp and generally it gets stored in tins.
