Summer is nearly here.

At last the weather is warming up on the east coast of Australia. We are so looking forward to the warm weather.

Our life-style changes dramatically. We have a small boat and spend alot of time on the local waterways, plus picnicing and bbqs.

How do you spend your summers in your part of the World?

Does your lifestyle change dramatically?

Is winter very cold where you live Dixie? I mean do you have snow etc. On the east coast of Australia winter is very mild.

Shazzam, this is what I meant when I said you guys have different seasons than the rest of the world's. When we're in winter season, it's summer for you. Right?

Pretty much Lenny. It is quite fascinating isn't it. I could be talking to you in swimmers with the airconditioning on; and you could be all rugged up with the heater on!

Its a big big world.

Well, not very cold compared to other places, for instance we do not have snow since we are in the coast. But I always feel cold. My hands are cold right now

My husband hates the cold. He always complains about being in the cold. He is a summer person. Personally I like spring. It is so moderate. Australia's temperatures in the summer are very extreme; you can't sleep at night. That is only on the east coast. In the Northern Territory (Darwin) it is impossible. It is so hot that you try to take a cold shower and the water is hot.

It was 32 degrees here yesterday and it isn't even summer yet! I'm starting to worry. It is going to be so hot and there is no way i'm swimming in the water around my area (too many "Noah's Arks"),

D***, 32 degrees in Celsius? This is like the time I went to visit Vietnam. The weather was 28 degrees in Celsius even it was midnight. I was sweating from day one through half of the trip. So hot... :x

oh, in my city, the sweltering weather just left several days ago! now we have the most perfect weather of all seasons: Autumn!! (BTW, I heard that American people call Autumn "fall", is that true?)

Autumn is great!!! plenty of fruit, sunny and warm weather! now we have only 20~30C in a day! just a little pity, I can't wear tank-top in Autumn, it is a little chilly! :P
