Australia has a very good system. We seem to cater very well with non-english speaking people. My understanding is that most people feel comfortable coming to Australia.

Have you ever had a problem with translation in Australia?

When I was a freshman at university, I had an oral English teacher who was from Australia. Maybe it's because I did not get used to English, or there were some problems in my listening, I could not ever figure out what she was talking. However, I with my classmates was amused by her funny accent. Later on, it's okay with me to understand thoroughly what she was talking and to communicate freely.

I have heard alot of people say that they can't understand the Australian accent. Personally I'm used to it; as I listen to myself everyday!   I find scottish people very difficult to understand especially when they are excited and speaking very quickly.

I once had a Scottish roommate in college. I thought that would be great for me to practise English. However, I could hardly understand a word she said. I continously apologized for not being able to understand her, but she said: "Don't worry, it's not your fault. The Scottish accent is very hard".
