Postby Shazzam » Wed Nov 02, 2005 2:58 am

In todays news in Australia is that there is evidence of a terrorist attack being planned in Australia.

I just hope this isn't another political ploy by the Government to push through the anti-terrorism laws that are still waiting for approval by the senate.

Australian politics is so highschoolish. So what does this new law actually say? The whole thing reads like a bad "Saturday Night Live" script. Anyway I don't trust a government that doesn't trust me to own a gun.

They will never be able to ledgislate away terrorism because they are so worried about being 'Politically Correct". They should have stopped giving out visas to people who don't like the Australian lifestyle and way of thinking 30 years ago.

My goodness I hope you didn't bring your guns with you when you were in Australia.

So what you are saying is that people like YOU shouldn't be given visas  :?: As you said if people don't understand the Australia way of life they shouldn't be given visas. You obviously don't understand the Australian way of life if you are going to criticise the country's attitude towards carrying a firearm.

I would also like to correct you in regards to the firearm policy; it is possible to own a firearm in this country but you have to be licensed and you are limited to the type of firearm; and how many you own. What is the problem with that? I mean do you want to start a war or something :?:

Well, as a matter of fact I did have my guns with me in Australia and one was a big .357 Magnum revolver. And it just so happens that the real Aussies are mad as hell about the laws restricting peoples right to weapons. But unfortunately most Aussies don't dig very far to get at the truth and settle for what their tiny brained, left-wing, macho-phobic media propagates to them, complete with false and misleading statistics on various social issues including firearms. So, I would not nesseccarily expect you to understand why it is not the governments business to decide for me how many guns I can own or why they should not be licenced. And there are very good reasons why they shouldn't. And further more for your infomation. FBI statistics show that in USA the mere presence of a civillian with a gun prevents between 1 and 2 million crimes a YEAR in the USA. And further, further more, I don't need to ask for no stinking visa to go to Australia!

Great I'm more than happy that you don't want to live in Australia one less ratbag to deal with. You must be a very frightened little person if you feel that you need to have so many guns to protect yourself from the nasties in society!
