koala and kangaroo

Postby Asep25 » Wed Nov 02, 2005 1:58 pm

I don't know what is the difference between koala and kangaroo. Today my daughter asked me to buy her two koala dolls if she can rank number one again in her class at the coming midsemeste exam. I promised to do it if she can.

But when I asked her:" what is the difference between koala and kangaroo?"

she answered:"Both live in Australia, but koala is kangaroo's baby, just like I am your baby. that's the difference."

Is that right?

I kinda doubt her answer.

A Kangaroo's baby is called a 'Joey'. They are so cute and the live in the mothers pouch for a long time.

I have attached a web-site link for you so that you can see some pictures. They are totally different animals.

Really? Oh, I did not know that. 8)

Asep25, why don't you go to Google images and search for "kangaroo" and then for "Koala"? ;)

And how much is it for a good 'roo hide now, I mean one without too many bullet holes?

The mum was so ugly they decided to name the kid "Joey".

Actually louvicine they aren't a bear. When I was growing up in Australia everyone called the "koala bear". About two decades ago it was discovered that they are actually a marsupial; not a bear. So they are now just called a "koala".

I do agree they are very cute and cuddly to look at; but they have big claws and they can take skin off.
