IVAN MILAT - Backpacker murderer! Gun fanatic!!

Postby Shazzam » Fri Nov 18, 2005 11:24 am

I have posted this thread about a serial killer that is now serving time in prison after being found guilty of the murder of several backpackers. From the information I have read about this piece of manure, he was a gun fanatic that pretty much used these people as game to hunt in the forrest.

If you want to read more about this sinister creep I have attached a web-link.

His family is now pretty much in hiding, in shame over his actions.

I'm sure sure that he had many other interests besides guns. The media does an injustice to single this out especially when he aparrantly liked knives more.

From all accounts (including those from his brothers) his weapon of choice was guns. This is what he used to hunt his victims.

Well that article you posted said that most of the victims died by multiple stab wounds besides implying that a love for guns is equal to a love for murder just doesn't hold water since the overwheaming majority of gun owners do not have a propensity for for murder. But I understand.....it's just the liberal leftwing press trying to socially enginer the readers into thinking like them.

The truth be known.....the guy probably had a love or fascination for anything that was conected to death, dying, killing and torture.

On an interesting side note, Shazzam. This same guy Ivan Milac maybe the same guy who tried to get my very own sister into his car. At least that is what she thinks. She says she will never forget his face. He had a beard at the time and he was driving a yellow Holden Monaro with black GT stripes and tried to get her into his car while she was walking home in the Turrumurra area on the Sydneys north shore . She has been trying to find out if he used to drive a car like this at the beginning of his killing spree in the early 70's. You don't happen to have any more information on him do you? She just maybe one who got away!

OMG how frightening. No I don't have any more information at this point; I know that most of the murders (that were covered) took place in the Balangalow Forrest (I will need to check that spelling). However I will have a look here at some articles; as the police reckon there have been more victims that haven't been discovered as well as a few people that got away. One young backpacker that got away from him came over from Sweden (I think it was) to give evidence in the trial against him.

I will post any new information I find on what you wrote Danyet as I come across it.

Thanks that would be very helpful. We do know that this S.O.B. Milat was living in her neighbourhood at the time.

Danyet I have tried every web-site I can find and I can't find anything relating to what he was driving/ or where he was living during that period. You should get your sister to contact the police in Sydney. I am sure that they would give her any information that she needed, especially if she gave them the information that you gave. It might not be Milat; but I think it is definately worth pursuing!

A similar case to that of Milat. This murder (or suspected) took place in the outback to a british backpacker two years ago. His body has never been found.
