Singapore's hangman has become a celebrity. He is doing interviews for magazines and television telling them that Tuong won't suffer any pain etc, because he is so good at this job. The chief executioner's name is Darshan Singh he is 74 years old and has hanged more than 800 prisoners over 45 years.

Good grief!

Now this is sad. Are they making a celebration out of his death?

You are contradicting yourself, Lennye. Don't you want people to relish over a drug dealer's death?

Darling, I want them dead; however, I'm not gonna go yip! yip! hooray! over their deaths. I'm cold when it comes to this type of people, but I'm not that cold.

The media circus continues in this case!

After the "confessions of a hangman" we now have a raging debate as to why they authorities will not permit his mother and brother to hug him before he is executed.

Apparently the authorities will not let him have any form of contact with anyone.

Are they frightened the mother might slip him a knife or something? I mean for goodness sake; with all the security what harm is there to such a request.

The Singaporeans aren't either. You shouldn't be twisting the facts.

Did you see the news Shazzam gave out? That man has become a celebrity. Hanging over 800 men is something one should go around bragging it? Whoooooooooooo....The temperature just hit below zero degree in Celsius.

Firstly, I believe I ended my sentence with a question mark and not a period. I wonder since when a question mark used make a sentence to becoming a question sounds like a statement. Secondly, they interviewed the hangman like he's some kinda celebrity. To me, it's cold. Also, to me, it seems like they're celebrating his death because to me more likely they're making it seems like it's an honor for him to die in a hand of a man who knows how to do his job. Are you happy with my explanation or do we need to go over it once more time, Mister?

It is true unknownsu; i'm not saying that they are in the streets having parties; but the hangman has become a celebrity, he is even doing interviews with newspapers and television networks etc, skiting how good he is at his job and he won't feel any pain etc.

It is all Australian's are talking about today. It is so sad. Apparently (and I can't confirm this) but I was told this morning that news is coming out of Singapore that this will be the last hanging. They are going to look at other more humane executions? As I said I can't totally confirm that.

Nguyen Tuong Van will hang at dawn tommorro in Singapore. There is no doubt now; there are no more legal challenges; this is it.

Singapore has denied a request for the mother of Nguyen to hug her condemned son before he is hanged.   Allowing her only to hold hands as she pays a final, limited contact visit before his execution.

A statement from the Singapore's Ministry of Foreign affairs said the government gave careful consideration to the personal request from Prime Minister John Howard to allow a full contact visit, but decided only a limited contact visit be permitted.

Tonight I sit here in disbelief. Tommorro I will wake up with the thought in my mind that Singapore has a death on its hands that could have been avoided.

Australia is in disbelief at this barbaric action !!!
