Men used to open doors for their girlfriends and pull out their chairs for them and really treat you like a princess (for at least the first few months). Young guys in Australia seem to walk in front on their girlfriends and hardly ever take them anywhere, they just seem to hangout. I'm not even talking about teenagers; i'm talking about men in their 20's.

Are things like this elsewhere :?: Is the dating game over. Have women fought for equality to such an extent that they are just treated like mates now :?: :(

Since the time of our first date up till today my boyfriend still does those things. Although he's not in his 20's, I don't think it would make a big difference since all the guys I dated in the past reacted the same way like he does. They opened the door for me, paid for dinners, movies, and they walked me to the door when the date was over. Additionally, even my male cousins and my female cousins' boyfriend do the same thing. When we go out as a group, whoever is driving is gonna open the door for us to get in the car first. They also pay for stuff.
In my opinion I think this is a part of how one was brought up. To me, I see more Asians in the States pay for their dates/girlfriends/wives than Caucasians. I hardly know any Asians who do 50/50 on a date. I bet you a hundred bucks that Susu opens the door for his girl friends or female cousins  .

Thank God my boyfriend never gives any flowers. I hate receiving flowers. Flowers are supposed to stay on trees, not being cut down for some cheap romance. I'd rather get a handmade card, a Hallmark greeting card, a song, a drawing, or something corny handmade but not flowers.

 Can you write with flowers? Make origamis with flowers? Make a book out of flowers? etc. Flowers are just for display and smelling. We can leave them there on the trees and they'll do the job just fine.

The thing is Lenny flowers grow back seasonly, a tree takes years to mature. If you leave flowers on the branch they just die anyway. When you think it about we chop down a lot of trees to make paper. I think flowers do less damage when taken from a tree, than cutting down the whole tree.

If something needs to be used for our purpose, I think we should use it; however, leave parts that we don't really use back to the nature. To me, it doesn't matter if the not-really-useful parts are less damaging than other parts when we destroy them, it does not mean we should. Some flowers will become seeds, and seeds will grow fruits or make a new tree. Why do we need to cut flowers down to use them for decorating and smelling purposes only? :?

I was thinking about this topic this morning and I don't think the rules of dating should only apply to single people, married people should still date too. You get into a rythm when you are married of just carrying out the day to day tasks and often don't set special time aside to just be a couple. It is actually really dangerous not to do it as you grow apart. :(
