Bikinis would you wear one?

Postby Shazzam » Thu Dec 29, 2005 10:52 pm

In Australia the climate is so hot that you could nearly wear your swimmers all year long. Recently there has been some debate about whether or not women should wear bikinis on the beach (as they are considered too revealing by followers of ISLAM). Personally I think too bad for these people, I grew up wearing bikinis, I don't understand why they are a problem.

This is surprizing news! Australia has been known for it small bikini since the 60's. At all the beaches that I ever went to in Australia the girls did not bother to wear tops at all. I had better not find out the those Muslims are ruining this too...or I will be back in Australia with a vengance!

This is pretty much what has caused all the trouble in Cronulla recently and Maroubra. The muslim men have been spitting at girls and calling them 'sluts' because they are wearing skimpy bikinis. I agree for many years on beaches now the bikinis are pretty much a g-string and that is it. It doesn't bother me at all, I think good for them. I don't think aussie guys will be too pleased if we go back to the early 1900's where you have to cover up.

When I become PM of OZ all immigrants will have to sign an oath stating that they will go topless at the beach..... at least occasionally.

Sure, why not. I don't swim since I can't swim well. Well, I can swim pretty well in the kid's pool, but not the adult's one   . I do go to the beach to tan myself in the summer, though. I have pretty pale skin. If you couldn't wear bikinis or go nude, how could you tan yourself? I think the government should stop interfering with your private life. First, you can't go nude in public; now you might not be able to wear bikinis at the beach? What the fudge!

I agree Lenny. The thing is it isn't the government at this stage it is from one group of people in Australia, they have a problem with the way Australian dress on the beach.
