** Australian Wild Flowers **

Postby Shazzam » Fri Jan 06, 2006 12:10 am

I think Australia has some of the most beautiful wildflowers in the world. I have attached a link for everyone to have a look at some of the samples (remember these flowers grow natively in the bush).

My personal favorites are: Waratah, Wattle and Bottlebrush. 8)

Hi Elba :D Some Australian wild flowers grow from bulbs, but the wattle and bottle brush are shrubs they grow from re-seeding. I'm sure if you check the web you would find more bulb native plants.

I love tulips, they are so beautiful. 8)

They’re beautiful. I love wild flowers. Do they bloom all year round? There is nothing here in the winter, but a lot of flowers bloom in the spring. Especially tulips, they are the first one to come out

I have found another interesting web-site for anyone that wants to have a closer look at some of the unusual wild flowers in Australia.

I personally love the Waratah. I only recently got to see one (up close). They are such an unusual flower.
