Lindsay Davenport is out of the Australian Open after being beaten very convincingly by Justine Henin-Hardene. Justine will now meet Sharipova (poor Justine). I hope she wears ear plugs so she can get through the match.

Yes Kim Cljisters beat her, and now Kim is out with an injured ankle. The women's final is on today it is between Justine Henin-Hardene and Amelia Maresmo (please excuse the spelling).

Federer is into the final with a guy from Cyprus I don't know how to spell his name, but he was unseeded so he has done really well to get into the final. Who knows maybe he will be the one to beat Federer.

What a shame! Mauresmo won the womans final by default. Henin-Hardine retired with a stomach complaint in the third game of the second set. Mauresmo was winning 6-1 2-0 when Henin-Hardine retired. Personally she looked ok to me, and quite frankly in a final I think it should take more than an upset tummy to withdraw. Mauresmo would have won; no doubt, but not a great way to lift the trophy.

The men's final is tommorro and everyone is backing the boy from Cyprus (Bagdadis - excuse the spelling once again).

Stay tuned!
