This story only broke in Australia tonight, which amazed me. Sandy Roberts has been a well know broadcaster in Australia for as long as I can remember, especially in the tennis and golf world.

Very sad isn't it. :cry:

A totally innocent victim. I know that I had to have a blood transfusion in the early 80's and after all the news came out, I was terrified. I was one of the lucky ones.

I think that most people don't think of aids cases like this. They always think that it must be related to promescurity or drugs! :roll:

We all need a wake up call. I think this story hit home to me.

Politically Correct pressures are what prevented measures from being taken to screen out AIDS tainted blood. It was a disbrace!!! The risk was known but nobody did anything.
