Being a good person.

Postby Shazzam » Thu Oct 19, 2006 11:12 am

I was talking to a friend tonight who is a devout Christian about some of the topics that are discussed in these forums.

She said to me "the reason why I like the bible is that it doesn't really matter whether you believe or not; at the end of the day if you follow the guidelines you are being a good person and you are caring about others."

I thought that was such a great definition she wasn't talking badly about any other religion she was just saying that she felt that how can you go wrong when you apply your life to trying to be a good person and helping others.

Sometimes I love being an Aussie; this is one of them.

In the last few weeks I have found that I have been blessed myself by people that have been so considerate; they don't judge they just accept me for who I am and they try to help when they can.

I hope this will keep happening as Aussies always had a great community spirit (it sort of has got lost in larger cities) but in Newcastle there is still a sense of community.

I"M BLESSED!!!!

yes, I agree with your friend's opinion. Sometimes when we read, hear something that help you to be a good person we don't need to analize whether it is right or wong. Trying to find out the fact is worthless.

It's relative

Good or bad is relative. It mostly depends on who the judge is.

Good and bad never change. Only the judges change!

That's why it's relative.
