Dreams...

Dreams are just that...dreams. They are just a manifestation of one's subconscious. You dream because your brain is on hyperdrive. It doesn't stop working even if your body is on sleep mode. Sometimes you dream what you want to dream. There are times when you're half-awake you're thinking and dreaming at the same time. What you thought to be dreams are actually your imaginings. The boundary between sleep and reality gets mixed up in your head.

I don't think dreams are prophetic or that they give you warning of what's going to happen in the future. Things happen because they happen. When something happens that we think fits what we have dreamed of, then we assume it's prophetic and that a higher power gave us the ability to predict it through our dream.

Hi!

I think dreams do reveal something. Not exactly a prediction of the future, though it can be related to coming events. They're related with our general thoughts. Let's suppose, for instance, you've thought about a car or marriage. Even though those thoughts are not as frequent as you might think, they remain in your subconscius, and they're revealed in your dreams.
When it's a situation you've been living and they manifest as one of the greatest possibilities in these events, people think that the dream was a prediction.

I just think of dreams as possibilities of our life, experiences and thoughts we contemplate deep inside. No more. :D

Hi

Dreams!!! Sometime I go to sleep just to dream ( I know it is strange) I like 2 dream and it is mean alot in my opinion. Therefore, many of our dreams happened and become real. I think that our psychological state affects our dreams largely. For example, sometime you had a nightmare when you are frightened. But sometime my dream means nothing for me specially if I dreamed of someone who I thought about him/her before I sleep and when I get up I say to myself I saw them because I was thinking of them just that :!:

 Sometime I just think about something or someone to see it in my dream.

Thats all :?

English Checker
  • dream: a series of thoughts and images that happens in our mind when we sleep
prophetic: telling us accurately about something in the future
predict: state that something will happen in the future
Yeah,I do believe so.
I did have many prophetic dreams, especially when I was very young. Many things shew up in dreams became true afterwards.
And now sometimes I feel very similiar with the place I had never been before, just the first time went there or the people I had never met before, just the frist time to know....
I think destiny has been doomed before I was born...(a little far from our topic though...)
In China, there is a superstition but I don't think it's superstion that children and old people who are going to die could feel something and see some ghost which other people in other ages can't see....When I was young,I always feel I was haunted....even in dreams I often saw many ghost around me and talked about something,I was exteremly scared and had my hair stood on....But this feel doesnot exist when I grow up...Oh,maybe I would feel it later in my later years...

dreams are the messages from the future

yes dreams are the messages from the future.ı believe that.
ın my opinion there are 3 kinds of dreams.
one of them is a message from future. İf you control your mind you will see lots of cases which are came true in your dreams.
second one, in your day life you want and desire somethings very much, you can see it in your dream in the same night.
third one is the utopian ones, you can see them in your all sleep time.
in a normal day people see lots of dreams but you can only remember the last one before you awake.

have nice dreams and try to remember your dreams.

well... what I know about dreams is that we dream EVERY night, because our brain needs to keep on working while we are sleeping, and the dreams exist for this. when we don't remember our dreams, it doesn't mean that we didn't have anyone.

talking about my dreams... well... it depends. sometimes I can't remember anything, or I just know that I had that weird dream from which I don't understan anything, you know? but during this last weeks, my dreams are staying with me when I wake up, and then I still can remember them. I'm having really realistic dreams and most of them are related to my day-by-day life, which wasn't so common before.

I don't know if dreams really mean anything, like, when they say that if you dream about "blah blah blah", then "blah blah blah" will happen one day. I can't really believe or understand that. but what I believe is that the dreams are, sure, related to our lives, to what we wish would come true, to what happened to us.

and if I could talk about nightmares, I would just say that I HATE them and I will never watch Ring or any other horror movie again because that almost made me go to a psychologist... and I'm serious about it.

I used to believe that dreams are prophetic when I was schoolgirl, but now I don't. I think dreams are like a mirror for our secret (or maybe not secret) wishes or concealed horrors. I always want to travel a lot and in my dreams I visited such places which I can't ideate (usually it's not our world... but it may be just another city) Sometimes it's interesting for me to remember my dreams whatever it is and if I was a writer I would have a rich materials for stories... ;)

The only meaning of my dream is that it makes me realized i am still alive when i open my eyes. Otherwise, no matter how good and accurate my dream was but i could not ever open my eyes again (in other words, i died), that dreams means nothing.

Again, case close.. next case please.. lol

Once in a while dreams might mean something to us. I think it is true in some speical situation.
When we are under pressure, or there is something impacted us deeply, or we have other emotional experiences, the dreams will be in effect.
They will tell us something that we aren't aware of when awaking. For instance, in dream we could work out some question which we can't find the answer and think over all the days.
But about dreams predicting the future, I don't support this viewpoint. And I don't have this experience either.

In some cases dreams show you the life that you wish to live. They create imaginary worlds. You can have things that you want and are with people that you wish. I think that the wonderful life are in a dream. It is a poetical thought, but I dream it all the time.

He dreamed of his future wife's cell number.

My psychology teacher told us that he kept having the same dream about people in his dream had the number 100 on them, or they kept talking about 100. And henceforth, the 100 friends was created after the dream. This is his site.

It is nothing but a miracle to me.well, the fascinating dream, unconsciously, I have ever created ,would ultimately turned into a real.amazing?? and when I reviewed such kind of dream, which at once convinced me that I might have supernature power, it possessed a common characteristic----abut to life such as a future circumstance, that would rush into my life after approximately 5--8 years. But that is nothing,if compared with my another bizarre occasion that frequently happend in my daily life--I always meet familar places, words,or plot that had ever occoured in my former dream.specifically, last year summer vacation, I went out with my new friends who was just acquainted with 3 days ago, nevertheless, suddenly,a strange but a familiar picture floated above my mind when I was about to across an intersection lines.clearly,It means ,the streets/plaza/mobiles,all around me are jumped out of my dream at that breath of air.Thereby,I got petrified in no time, because I was shocked by the current night scene --- sideway, shoppingmall, sidebys, even the words my friends said to me,is accurately and impressively identical to my dream which is experienced in my fictional world (I have a super memory)3 years ago.U know, it is a sort of complicated feeling for me to accepte it,however, definitely,it is ture.who can explain that????

my mum always says that there is some significance in every dream that we have seen.Especially whenever she sees a crowd in her dream, she comments it as 'there will be a funeral!'and each time it comes true  Well , i had some dreams which came true, but that is not exactly the same :P I guess most of them are just the reflections of our subconscious mind, i mean i generally see dreams about the things that i have talked about in that day. However, it is fun to hear comments about your dream!

Yes! our dreams always means something.e.g., our hidden wishes, what we observe in our daily life or some time people come in our dreams we miss very much etc.

Some time I do remember my dream, some time don't !

For those people who feel as if they have already seen something in their past dream and they came it across later. May be every body or atleast for sure, so many people have prophetic dreams at different levels in thier life, but these dreams cannot predict future. Mostly people don't realize, remember or focus on them. According to muslim believe (need to confirm) some times you have dreams which are 40th part of the complete prophesy, depending upon your righteousness which goes high and low in your life cycle, e.g., seeing person or place in your dream you happen to visit in future, but it doesn't explain the purpose good or bad. Some time it does, but that you realize mostly after the event, but you cannot judge before time, hence no future prediction. And you feel after a while or a day, as if you have already seen it in your dream which you just experienced or learnt recently.

This kind of experiences also give you the significance, and up to some extend the proof of forces which are beyond your comprehension and top of the most "The One" How created them and all !!!

P.S. Righteousness increases with your good deeds and decreases with your bad deeds !
According to religious believes complete and correct prophesis were only given to Prophets by God(Creater of the creations) through different mediums, e.g, angels or dreams etc.
Few examples of Universally True Quranic prophesis:
- Don't you see the earth and sky was together and I have separated them. (Chapter 21)
- I have created all the creatures from earth and all the living beings are made out of water.(Chapter21)
-I have created sky upon earth for your protection and all the sun, moon and star are floating in their skies.(Chapter21)
-Don't you see sun, moon and trees prostrate to me.(Chapter 3)
-Don't you see that all the skies are standing without pillars (Chapter 21)

I think it’s quit the contrary situation. Our real life has an impact on our dreams. In general, the more stressed we’re in the daytime the more realistic dreams we have at night. Unfortunately, sometimes we just can’t get away from our everyday routine and go on solving different problems while sleeping. I believe that from time to time our dreams might help us to solve some difficult situations, which wasn’t clear for us before. It’s just because we can’t quickly mosaic all the scattered events of our usual day.
Nevertheless, the clue of solving problems while sleeping is in our ability of clearing up our minds before we go to sleep. Only if we get completely relaxed before we fall asleep we might find a decision. We have to throw out all our daily thoughts and let our dreams to do their work…

I think our dream has something to do with an unsolved problems or intense emotional feelings stored in our subconscious mind.

I'm really uncertain if there is a meaning to our dreams, but if our dream is depressing we normally seek for meanings or interpretation, this is maybe because it's a person's innate characteristic to look for solution in every problem...

In my country, there are many books which explain the meaning of our dream. For example, if you see a tooth [ ur tooth broke ], it's the sign of unlucky in the near future. :-D

I saw sometimes it's true. I don't know it has any relations reality, but when it said that you would be got in stuck in a loving problem as triple love and it's true in next 2 weeks, what do u think? Do u believe that it's really interesting!?

Although I don't believe that, It's sometimes does. When I was a kid, I have had a dream that I picked one thousand dollars when I went to school. After that, I really pick one thousand dollars on my way to school. And now, I never make a dream, so I don't believe it now.

Many people believe that their dreams mean something or represent something is going to happen. Therefore, there is an activity in folk which is called "dream-decoding".

I don't believe that dreams mean something, but it has ever come true at once. When I was a kid, I have had a dream. I picked one thousand dollars on the way I went to school. After that, I really pick one thousand dollars on my way to school. And now, I never have a dream, so I don't believe it now.

On the whole, I think what we dream means what we think in reality. When we put honest in mind, we may get a good repayment.

Sure, I think our dreams mean a lot of things to us, even if they didn't come true. But if we stopped dreaming I think we would die.
Sometimes my dreams or some of them came true, but also they didn't come true other times.

But anyway I am still dreaming and I will dream because I have a faith that my great dream will come true.

Actually, psychology as a science has many theories about dreaming, moreover, you can find a specific approach - Oneirology - scientific study of dreams. Your dreams are reflections of your real life, any actions, processes and so on which have happened are collected by your unconsciousness and during REM sleeping this information transfers to images and you have seen a dream. Another question, could dreams predict the future? probably yes for the nearest future, because it is a result of deep analisis and hard work of brain in a logical way. {-: Anyway, dreams show us our own persoanl problems and teach us how to solve them.
For example, you can consider for study Froud theory and his popular aspects
Firstly, Freud pointed out a constant connection between some part of every dream and some details of a dreamer’s life during the previous waking state.
Secondly, Freud, after studying the dreamer’s life and modes of thought, his mannerism and apparently insignificant details of his conduct, come to the conclusion that there was in every dream the attempted or successful gratification of some wishes, conscious or unconscious.
Thirdly, he proved that many of our dream visions are symbolical, which causes us to consider them as absurd and unintelligible; the combination of those symbols, however, makes very transparent to trained observer.
Fourthly, Freud showed that sexual desires play an enormous part in our unconscious, a part with great hypocrisy has always tried to minimise, if not to ignore entirely.
Finally, Freud established a direct connection between dreams and insanity, between the symbolic visions of our sleep and symbolic actions of the mentality deranged.
