Sir,
Water is an important for our lives.
As water is uncountable noun, we can't use a or an.
so why 'AN' before important.
Please explain it.

There is a problem with the sentence you quote. It is not English. Something is missing. It should be (something like):
Water is
an important
resource for our lives.
In this case
an refers to
resource, which is countable. If the adjective
important is removed, it becomes:
Water is
a resource for our lives.
