Hi,

I am wondering about below question.

Anybody didn't come.
Somebody didn't come.

In questions and negatives we more often use any, anybody etc.
But why the first sentence is incorrect?

A good day!

You can't make an indefinite pronoun (anyone, anybody, anything) the subject of a negative verb, except - in casual usage - when preceded by 'just', as in

'Just anybody' didn't come - Brad Pitt came!
