A plural word as an adjective?

Postby pdh0224 » Tue Oct 05, 2004 1:02 am

Dear teacher,

Robert Hsueh, a partner in IvySuccess, an individual tutoring and admissions strategy company in Garden City, N.Y.

Q : Why is a plural word "admissions" used in the position and function of an adjective?

All the best, :)

It is an attributive noun. Although usually singular, attributive nouns may be plural.
