English grammar help. Grammar questions from ESL learners

Sir,

I am tired.

I am bored.

As I know that "am" is used in present tesnse. If so then,
Why the past participle of the verb "bore" and "tire" have been used in the above sentences.

Are the word "bored" and "tired" adjective.


Please clear the picture.

Yes, they are 'participial adjectives', meaning that they originate as participles of verbs.

Is anything else unclear?
