verb

Postby hanuman_2000 » Sat Oct 16, 2004 10:12 am

Sir,

Some time we say "the verb to be" and some time "the verb be".

What, actually, difference between the verb "to be" and "be".

Thanks.

None. They are alternative labels. It is often felt that adding 'to' signals more clearly that reference is to an infinitive.
