Dear teacher,
Organized by Rob Linrothe, an art historian at Skidmore College, and Jeff Watt, a Rubin Museum curator, the show explores the paradoxical idea that the fiercest looking Himalayan divinities are often the staunchest protectors. Mahakala, he of the tiger-skin briefs, is one. Far from being evil, his job is to scare off evil. The curators draw further examples from Tibetan Buddhism, from the indigenous Tibetan religion Bon, as well as from Tantric art in Nepal, India and China.
Q : I think "fiercest" is a complement of "looking", and it is like conversing the word order.
the Himalayan divinities looking fiercest
=> the fiercest looking Himalayan divinities
What do you think?
An interesting principle of a modification
