Dear teacher,

What are the differences in usages of "sale" and "sales"?

Yours sincerely

As ordinary nouns, only the normal differences between singular and plural. As attributives, however, 'sales' is the normal form in a job-description, as in sales manager (not *sale manager), but singular 'sale' occurs with reference to a bargain sale, as in sale price (not *sales price).

Does that answer your question?
