Please help me with these!
- The water was so hot that it [burned] [through] his pants and underwear, [causing] severe third degree burns [to, in, on] his groin.
1.. Here, "burned" is a intransitive verb or a transitive verb.
2. Can we omit "through"?
3. What is the doer of "causing"?
4. Which preposition is correct, to, in, or on?
5. Can we say "third degree burns [to, in, on] his left lap"?
Thank you very much.
