No, 'boy' and 'girl' are not opposites, simply counterparts in different genders.

Grammatical word-classes also have no opposites.

Sir,

While reading at a wed site on internet ,I found the opposite list. In which it was writte for exam

Boy= Girl
to take = to give

My basic question is that which part of speech as given below has opposite.

noun,pronoun,adjective,adverb,verb,preposition e.t.c.

Thanks .

'Boy' and 'girl' are not words that we would generally consider to be true opposites (such as 'life' and 'death', or 'kindness' and 'cruelty'), although they may often be treated as such.

True opposites may be found, I suppose, in any word-class except for articles and interjections.
