Hi, could you please tell me which articles should I have used in the following sentences?
1. They called for a/the release of hostages.
2. The Department of Justice has requested a/the withdrawal of the publication.
3. It would be desirable to organize a/the redistribution of wealth on a worldwide scale.

1. Either possible, but 'the' more probable.

2. 'The'. (Withdrawal of a particular publication can occur only once.)

3. Either possible.
