Sir,

I have a pen.

I need to write negative of above sentence.

I have not a pen.

I do not have a pen.

Which one is correct?

I need some explanation on this.Please.

'Do not have' is correct.

'Have not' does not occur (except in archaic style) as the negative of the full verb 'have', but only of the auxiliary 'have', as in I have not posted the letter yet.
