apple or apples?

Postby Echo » Thu Nov 10, 2011 2:45 pm

Dear sir or madam,

How can we answer this question: What is your favourite fruit?
"My favourite fruit is apple." or "My favourite fruit is apples."

Thanks.

The second is idiomatic. Otherwise, 'Apples are my favourite fruit.'
