the verb agreement under every+N and every+N

Postby aaliyahlu » Sat Mar 10, 2012 7:08 pm

To whom it may concern,

"Every boy and every girl play basketball." or "Every boy and every girl plays basketball."
Which is correct?

Thanks a lot!

Both possible. The first is more formally correct, but the second sounds more natural.
