I'm a non-native speaker of English and planning to give GRE this year. And, I always make mistakes while using adjectives. I came across this question from 800score.com

The strawberry shortcake tastes deliciously.

Why is the above sentence wrong.

When intransitive (as here), the verb 'taste' functions as a copular verb, which is complemented, In English, by an adjective, not an adverb.

Hence 'delicious', not 'deliciously'.
