I am unsure about the word "granted" in the following....
"For example, why not chew gum for 18 hours to burn off those 200 calories? Granted, chewing gum contains around 10 calories per piece..."
Is "Granted" being used as an adjective or past tense verb?
How do I know if this is a verb or an adjective?
