Why it's wrong

Postby tuyennguyen » Sat May 10, 2014 12:09 am

I don't understand the structure of those, please explain it for me, thank a lot!
1. Sapphires weighing as much as two pounds have on occasion mined. ( I don't identify what the subject and predicate are. weighing is adjective, isn't it?)
2.It is providing less costly and more profitably for drug-makers to market directly to patients.(the answer is " more profitably", I think linking word here is "and" so using an adverb like "profitably" is correct, but in fact it's not)

Neither sentence is correct as written.

Please check your sources and re-post (one sentence at a time!)
