adverbial "for me"

Post by Hela »

Dear teacher,

Would you please tell me what kind of adverbial is "for me" in the following sentence? What does it express?

Last year was the happiest year for me. (Subject + verb + complement + adverbial)

Thank you and wish you a happy new year.

A happy new year (in advance) to you, too!

Some authorities would term it a viewpoint adverbial.
