An -ing verb form

Post by Rustamsher »

I don't object to any of my mistakes being corrected.

Alan, is the phrase the passive gerund or participial passive?

Thanks.

As it stands, it is the latter. However, if completely correctly written,

I don't object to any of my mistakes' being corrected.

(note the apostrophe) it would be a gerund.
