Hi! Everyone!
I recently encountered some sentences in present perfect tense which seemed quite confusing to me.
"Carl has been interested in jazz since he moved to New Orleans."........does Carl still live in New Orleans?
Will it have the same meaning as " Carl has been interested in jazz since he lived in New Orleans?"
Thank you for your help! My first language is Chinese, this is very frustrating to me...

Re: Help on present perfect tense
1. Yes.
2. Your attempted paraphrase is not identical in meaning to the original. However, you could paraphrase it with '...since he STARTED LIVING in ...'
