I thought that idea of getting rid of the Taliban was to allow Afgahnis to have a "legit" government. Our weak coalition has allowed fanatical zealots to run the country in place of the old fanatical zealots. What a cruel joke !

Under Afghanistan's Sharia legal system he could have faced execution if he had refused to renounce Christianity.

To me, religion is a personal thing. People should have free to choice what they believe, as long as they practice peacefully.
