Hi, everyone, I'm reading Ernest Hemingway's The Old Man and the Sea. Is anyone interesting in it? I'm very glad to discuss with you.

I read it about 25 years ago... I don't think I can remember details, though I liked the book. I'd enjoy reading your impressions. Don't rely on me but if I feel like participating I'm in.

Hi, bacteria,
I like the fishman, although he is poor and old. He loves the sea, and never give up anything. I like Hemingway's writing style, clean lauguage, which makes me read the book easily and joyful. Also he takes me a real look of fishmen's life.
BTW, bacteria, what is meaning of "hix"?

It sounds something sad is in your heart deeply.
Be happy, my sister (?). Life is a game without retried, and we shall enjoy it in spite of her hardness. Just like the old man, isn't it?

When I read that, I felt I had to be stronger!
When the Old man fought with the shark hopelessly... He was try and try...
when I can't meet a person in my dream... I still belive and live well!

I read the Arabic version. It was kinda impressive as It arouses the feeling of pity in readers. At the same time, u feel the situation of this old man who is trying to do his best to get out of this trouble. i myself felt like if I was the one who was resisting all that.
