What do you think about sensational fiction based on the life of this person? Could it be possibly a hit?

almost every third book about that person is a sensation itself!
don't understand why everyone wants to find the truth, i guess it was a top secret a century ago and still not everything is revealed...
as for me i read about his relationship with the russian monarchy and his spiritual power, someone believes he's saint!
on the other hand that man is covered with mystery, son of devil and devil himself, women lover and alchoholic - just the opposite opinion...
the story of his murdering is vaugue also, i've visited the place where it had taken place, in saint petersburg, so horrifying! brr... and i can't look straight into his eyes in the pictures, can you?..

Can I look at Rasputin's eyes? Hmmm... I think I can. At first the impression of his sight is unpleasant but you can soon get used to it. I am having such a character that I can easily adjust when I need it.
Besides I think I have imagination great enough to guess lot of things by my intuition that isn't for sure something I can trust totally but I make very rarely make mistakes in my life using my intuition:)
I have to be cheated totally to be unaware of my mistakes. Till now I was twice in such a situation.
Once I almost broke down cause I was deeply in love, second time I managed to save my life though I met another Mr. Rasputin. But no feelings on my side there (thanks God) and I managed to spare my life - who knows?
Besides I took one famous exam in philosophy at one communistic professor who was not too wise for me but he had so many praizes that I have never stop repeating my permament "thanks God" for passing this HORRIBLE exam at all.
Summing up - in spite I have never been in Moscow I know who communists were and how crazy some people can be from the easter side. Specially the ones who live in Warsaw now.
Mostly they belong the Eastern Church and behave like unreasonable, totally irresponsible iditos. I know them inside out as it seems to me:( The ones from Warsaw at least.
They turn around in life like crazy - overuse alcohol, sleep around, boast, pretend and steal. They have artistic souls and heart made of stone. No rational feelings in their deeds. No order. And they steal like crazy what's worse.
They have food for their own and keep people in constant fear by any lack of reason, lack of any stability and any sureness.
I am really happy to have it all past me cause as it seems to me Warsaw isn't a city where something more can be found to me but another bruise. I mean I couldn't live there without an A-bomb in my pocket. That's sure:)
The same with the countries east from Warsaw probably:(

yes...Mr Rasputin... it would be a challenge to write a sensational book about him. But I would never go to Moscow!
I would be too scared perhaps:(
Besides it is too far and it is much colder there than in southern Poland.
I could go into Bajkal Lake cause I know researchers are there in the worst case.
The worst are Russian churches. These all your priests... this mass is like magic. And so long. Poland is a catholic country though sometimes I feel as living in X century when we were baptized and civilisation has started here.
this country is full of Rasputins...

I have just read that books were translated by his Polish wife. He was a real gentelman - he married her cause she would have had plenty of troubles in communistic times for her relationship with an English guy. How can I read he wasn't TOO popular even in Poland cause he was writing about kings and queens. So nothing strange.
Ok. That's really all. They are ages since I was reading his books and then I didn't care about who was Anne Bidwell at all.
The biography of this author somehow always escaped out of my mind.
I hope you also can understand some things more reading last posts of mine here:)

Uf! i've learned so much about my country! Please, i hope in 2006 it's the high time to start demolishing your prejudice about Russia and moscow either... I bet you won't be send to prison in moscow just for nothing or for your brave ideas as it could happen while the communists ruled the country... also it's not so cold (we don't take winter into account that's quite common in all european countries, among those i definitely see my motherland) Please, don't be frightened!

as i thought and even was a bit sure it wasn't the communists who murdered rasputuin... they belonged to the white bone and one of them was gay. if you want the details of the murderer i could find some information to proove my words.
stalin then... yes he's outstanding but i doubt if we should be proud of him... although you know time has to pass in order we could judge properly! we are talking about the things that took place not so long ago (comparing with the whole history period)! i've read a book about him also! very interesting! it was written my modern historican (can i say so?), i'm not to believe americans or british writing about soviet union as the cold war could affect them... (if the book was published at least 20-25 years ago) fascinating book! true.

i'm not that one who want to learn even a piece of informtion about hitler, the beast of the XX century! so no opinion is left!

And finally - the church! i'm not religious although i belong to the orthodox christianity! i guess i'm too young to determine, now i'm reading some religious books time to time (various beliefs), but i'm still quite far from being true christian... i don't like official church and it's growing connection with the government (ammedment, russia is a secular country and every religion has equal power and influence - it is written in the constitution!)! all that nasty monks with dirty beards and severe glances... (not all but the majority)

Hereiam! you are being interested by ... everything in that world... first it was rasputin and then good company of democracy and monarchy... you have found my admiration... but do you really have an intention to write a book comcerning this exact topic?.. well just a piece of advice please don't consider it as a moral obligation for you... for writing such kind of a book you need first, knowledge and scope in order to be objective, second, talent for this particular genre - those books are apt to become dull! I believe in you!

I am totally, totally taken by P&P. Now I am at the chapter 36. Mr. Darcy proposed for the first time and I think he was rejected because he wasn't...handsome enough probably. People try to persuade me for their reasons but I am still against their ideas.
The only error of Elisabeth bennet was the one at the very beginning - hearing she wasn't TEMPTUOS enough to DANCE with him she should have answered something like "maybe I am not handsome enough but deaf I am not for sure!".
Thus the book would be shorter, however.
Well... these all sensational books - they are very fashionable again. Again? They have always been! Now in GB they celebrate the 80's anniversary of their queen. You even don't know what sensational book you could probably read when reading some royal secret correspondence....how many secret relationships the walls of Windsor castle had seen:(. But who would allow there for such a ...scandal!
much easier to reach Vatican libraries as it seems to me and the hidden documents that are there.
Summing up - I think Darcy was worse than stupid when he wanted to mary Elisabeth when his only intention was to remind to such a smart woman as she surely was how stupid he was taking her with all her "inferior connections".
She did the best thing in her life sending him out to hell probably.

ps. do you also know that in his times Sheakspeare - who is today celebrated as the greatest writer of HIGH dramas wasn't anyone like that during his times. look - how gory and scandalous his works are, full of blood, murdering, hatred. His plays were kind of sensation too. Only some centuries later English people were in need to have someone like Horatio, Ovidio etc. _ Roman poets and they dug out Sheakspeare to worship him as their the best. In his times, however, Mr Sheakspeare was never hungry probably and that's the core of everything as it seems to me.
I am any philologist but now the yesr of Sheakspeare is also celebrated so it is worthy to mention this and that as it seem to me:)
