Question - who managed to read "The Animal's farm" written by Geroge Orwell? Is this novel known in China?
In Poland they have done it compulsory to read during Polish language lessons in state schools.
And how in other countries???
?
real_lord, Poland:)

Animal Farm is a really well-known novel by George Orwell. I think it was initially meant for kids, although it has an adult view. It's a satire against society. Here we can find the popular statement: All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.

All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others
.

It means that, even though the government claims that we all are equal, there are still privileges. We are not equal. It's a satire.

"Animal farm" always alive

you know- I have just read and downloaded summary of "Animal Farm". Today I have watched on TV that SOME people have builded a dam on Jangcy river. 1.5 million people have been moved out of their homes and probably 100 thousand were killed during this building:(.
But noone cares - the success is really great and stunning:).
"Animal Farm" will never be a dead book - I thought watching this. Its author had some problems with publishers but at last he published his book and - what more important - it has became a classic at once.
I am sure none would ever publish my "class for insects".
I am sure of it somehow:(.
Today only English language authors mean and people in my country don't like laughing at themselves at all:(
I will never be a successfull writer during my life-time.
maybe I also should swap into missionaries in Himalaya mountains having love affairs with some dalajlamas?
But some writers have death sentences for similiar books:(.
I am too scared I am afraid:(
What a diseaster for me! OK - that's all by now:).
feel free to leave your comments please:)
with regards for my "inventor",
LM.

Well I started reading the book yesterday. I love it so far... I read with it a pencil near me to underline those statements which I find brilliant.

It's the second Orwell novel I read, and I already think that man was a genious :!:
