I like Rowling's books too, but if I have to choose a favourite author, mine will be Charles Dickens and Charlotte Bronte. I understand that some people might not like such books- I remeber back when I was going to college, I used to give some of my novels to my classmates, and they would return them to me months later without completing the first chapter saying it takes so much effort to understand them. One of the girls told me that Charles Dickens' Great Expectations is so detailed that she cannot keep track of she is reading.
