My very favorite! I love swimming so much...when I was just a child of eight years I taught myself to swim underwater, it took years for me to swim on top of the water...but with practice, patience...and persisting at it, and I finally became an excellent swimmer.
I moved to Hawaii at seventeen and it became a big habit to swim (at the beach) sometimes every day for three to five hours. So...I was addicted to it really...that and sunbathing! (I was a big beach bum!)
aloha! :D  8)

yeah.. it's something that i definitely like to do.. in fact i do it one or two times per week in the gym, the teachers say that is one of the most complete sports we can do... well, i think so, because it's very hard to swim, i feel tired very quickly, i mean if we are really swimming and not just be on the pool playing with our friends

I just feel so good in the water...i might be part fish!
I love the way i feel so weightless and enveloped by water...I think it is for me very healing in fact right now I think I will go take a very hot bath because it is freezing in my house today ... cant wait for spring and summer so i can get back to swimming!

If you live in my country and don't swim you are in big trouble!  It is the only way to cool down in the summer, plus we are an island continent so we are surrounded by it. 8)

Most children in my country (I would like to say all) learn to swim before they can walk. It is a skill for life. 8)

I personally love to swim, especially in the ocean, there is something about the salt water that makes you feel alive.

We are blessed because the waterways in Australia are very beautiful and the water temperature is always moderate. :D

Oh, this is so true. I am a country girl myself. I just can't imagine growing up without swimming. I just don't know what I would have done for fun in the summer.

I especially love that very first dive of the season. I like to swim way down under and roll. Just love it!!

I don't have a bathtub to get in, otherwise, I would do like Tikay. The closest I get to water is a long hot shower, but not to long--6 gal. hot water heater--hot water runs out quick
I can hardly wait til June.

Are you born in Georgia...Golfygirl?
I sure do miss the south sometimes. I have only been home to visit Tennessee a couple of times since I left there at seventeen. I miss the mountains of the Smokies I think mostly, swimming in those ice cold waters was crazy, and so much fun!
glad you are here. :D

Australia sounds like hawaii...the water is as clear as a mountain stream...beautiful! Is it clean & clear there too Shazzam?
