You and Crafts

Recently, I've started to get interested in knitting so a week ago, I went to a bookstore to get me some books of knitting and a beginner kit. Yesterday I made my first scarf! 8) Can you believe it? I was so happy. Knitting has brought me such a relaxing time--only me, the yarn, the needles, and my favorite radio channel. I don't have to think of anything when I knit. Right now I'm starting to make a blanket for my boyfriend. He didn't believe that I could make a scarf at first because I always quitted in the middle of everything. He believes me now and he even bought me bundles of yarn to make the blanket. ;)

I think doing crafts is really great. I also believe that once in a life time that each one of us has done something related to crafts. It could be anything like origami, handcrafted dolls, scrapbooks, knitting, sewing, quilting, beading, crocheting, candlemaking, lacemaking, soapmaking, jewelry making, egg art, gourd art, rock painting, mail art, rubber stamping, polymer clay, ceramics, furniture design, woodworking, rug hooking, spinning and weaving, leatherworking, macrame, blacksmithing, and basketry. Which one/s have you done and which one/s have brought you joy? Why did you choose to do it at first? Share your opinions, guys. ;)

Very glad to see a friend who enjoys knitting!I like knitting myself very much, using different kinds of colored belts to make necklaces, bracelets and rings. The belts are long and slender, which shine bright colors in the sun.Not very joyful like you,I haven't got boyfriend or opposite-sex friends,I just make it for myself or give to my relatives.
In fact,China is the original country to knit/weave.My grandma and my Mum are both good at Chinese traditional knitting. They can use a very small needle and some slender lines to make out beautiful designs.Yeah, knitting is quite interesting, especially for girls.[/img]

Hmmm... never thought of those myself. The top ten on my list were:
1. scarf
2. blanket
3. poncho
4. hat
5. socks
6. leg warmers
7. arm warmers
8. Headkerchief and headband
9. Tote bag
10. Choker
Now I'd love to learn how to make a belt. Do you have any English translation of it? If yes, could you show me? Love you lots

My aunt owns a pizza restaurant in San Francisco. I stop by her place for a slice every time I'm in SF, but I never had the intention to ask her how to make it....until now. I'll ask her how to make it and then I'll post it in Food section or I'll PM you, how about that? ;)

Well well well, bad news Suzie, I had a talk with my aunt about making pizzas at home, and she said it'd be quite different than the ones in the restaurant because you need a pizza oven to cook it and it's really hard to make pizzas if you're not professional. Therefore, I didn't go further on asking her how to make it. But I've surfed around the net to see if there is any good website showing you how to do it. I've found one. You can check it out then try to do them pizzas if you want to. I hope this will help.
