mmmmm...
lavandula angustifolia is the scientific name for this flower..
Lavender is a herb that everyone seems to know..
Lavender
Smells like summer and tastes like summer too
When used in wedding bouquets it sends the message of "best wishes & good luck" to the bride and groom!
Lavender will relieve stress and headaches in the work place.
I can relate to this because walking down the lavender path on a summer evening and inhaling the scented air brings a calmness to one's inner self.

Lavender is a recognized treatment for the following conditions and symptoms:

Restlessness
Insomnia
Abdominal complaints
Rheumatism
Loss of appetite

Lavender and Geranium Potpourri
4 cups of lavender blossoms (dry)
2 cups rose geranium leaves (dry)
2 cups rosemary (dry)

Mix the herbs and oil with the orris root and place in a tightly sealed container. Age 4-6 weeks, shaking daily.

I love this color. I think it's kinda blueish and purpleish, like lilacs. I've found this color is really feminine and cute like pink. I love pink, by the way. Anyway, that recipe seems like a bowl of summer after one's done making it, I guess. And who wouldn't love summer? 8)

Any other recipes to make potpourri, Suzie? I love potpourris because they make your room smells so nice. You can also put them in small bags and hang them in your car, your car would smell so sweet and fresh.
