Lennye,

I don´t think you could see the mexican saloons a Internet. but if you wish to come to mexico someday to knoe them I would like to be your guest.
Same for you SpinArgel. Nice to hear you found your dancing parter again. Tell me do you speak another language, like spanish? I would like you see a movie about a dancer who lost her partner and look for him. After a month she find her and return to the saloon. Is a romantic movie. the Name is "Danzon". Maybe you could find a copy in Germany. The movie win some contest. Cannes Festival I think.

At México people used to put two names to childs. My name is Elba Rosa, my last name is Hernández Hernández, because the last name of my father is Hernández and the last name of my mother was Hernández. Only coincidence, they weren´t relatives.

So you have two names for first name and no middle name?

SpinArgel wrote:@LennyeTran: When I read your offer I sniffed, because the only dance willing man is living so far from here ;-). But guess what happened yesterday? I’ve got the best bargain from a fleamarket: A great dancer! Really!
I strolled with my friend (an active non-dancer :-() over the fleamarket when I saw a familiar face. I recognized him as one of the best dancers from my dancing club. He is a very well tournament dancer but has had to set out for round about 2 years because of his knee surgery. He asked me, if I have a new dance partner yet and when I denied, he offered me his person, as soon as his doctor will allow him to start dancing again!
I just was speechless :-o - he is a much more better dancer than I’ll ever will be, because I’ve never had any tournament training. With him I’ll have my best personal trainer :-); we decided to train 2 days a week with 2-hours-trainings. Hurra - I’ll be back at the dance floor - soon, I hope.

Cool. Congrats to you and sorry about your friend's news. I hope he's doing okay. Knee injure is hard to cure. Has he gone to a physical therapist yet? Anyway, when are you gonna be in this competition you're talking about here? Share with us the information, please.

@Elba: Holá! Yes, some years ago I learned in evening classes un poco de espanol, un muy, muy poco ;-). I did, because I planned my vacation in spain. At least I took these lessons round about 2 years, but unluckily they gave up, because over time more and people cut. Later I concentrated more and more on english and I am afraid, I guess, I forgot a lot of my spanish :-(. But more I’ve forgotten my francais from schooltime :-(( all I can say is: Je regrette - mais je ne parle pas francais ;-)).
But I’ll look for your recommended movie - it sounds really interesting for me!
Hasta luego, Elba :-)

@LennyeTran: No way! My nerves wouldn’t take any competition dancing for me ;-). It will be only private training. Hmm - I do think so; but maybe I should ask my new dancer for reassurance ;-)

With 14 years experience of dancing and you think you can't attend the ballroom dance competition? Who are you kidding here, Argel? I think you should. It would be really fun. I've heard people said that. It's different than going to a dance club. The atmosphere is totally different and you could meet other great dancers like you, too. Give it a try, I recommend  .
