So how is your score when you play at those places?
I don't remember. It was four years ago. I haven't gone back to that place although my bf does live around there. I've told him to play there several times, but he's not interested in it. My other male friends are not interested in miniature golf either. They like the real thing better. Thus, it's hard for us to play golf together since I like miniature golf, for it's soooo cute. Also, in miniature golf land, I don't mind people watching how I stand hitting the ball. It's different in the real land. I think professionals get annoyed when someone stands incorrectly. Right?
For the most part, there aren't a whole lot of professional golfers on the course. We "regular" golfers are all at different levels. Or, I could say all golfers are always in some sort of training or practicing.
Thats another reason golf is such an indivdualized sport. Of course, we all like to look at other people when they swing, but its mostly for curiosity on how someone else does it. Or, it could be that someone does look so rediculous, that we say to ourselves, "boy they have no idea how they look". But you know what, that particular person don't care what you think, cause in their own minds eye, they are doing it correctly. And thats all that matters. It really boils down to ego.
Golf is to much of a sport for men only. I wish more women played golf. Unfortunately, for women its their own lack of self confidence that keeps them from learning to play golf. Golf is such a great sport for women.
If a person is interested in learning to play golf, I would recommend them going to the driving range and just sit and
watch for about an hour. Then they would see that nobody swings perfectly. After they have watched, then they could begin to practice on the driving range.
Golf does require a lot of practice, but a large bucket of balls every day for a month would definately get you going in the right direction. Really, the most important part of golf is chipping and putting, so after you hit a large bucket of balls, go over to the practice green and work on your chipping and putting at least for 30 minutes a day.
