Do you think USa culd bit Germany, or Brasil, or Holand. They need more than a good trainner and good diet and god etc. they need their people. I think

Support can only bring more money sine it would be more businesses and stuff, but I don't see how it could make a dramatic difference to a player performance. Most players play the sports because they have skills in it, and they turn their skills into business. They didn't play it even though they sucked, but it was a popular sport. If it had been the case, the US team would have never been formed. The States don't have much passion for football like the rest of the world. Majority of people who are into it are immigrants.

This is exactly what I mean. Not too many Americans know or even care what going on with the world cup. If you’re talking about Football (NFL), Baseball and Basketball, then everyone get involve. The US soccer team is not new. They've been there for while but it’s very slowly improving. The reason for that is not many people enjoy the soccer. Even though we have Major League Soccer (MLS) but most the seats are empty all most every game. The media don’t cover enough to promote this sport since money is more importance for them. Like other entertainments, sports do need fans. A signer can’t be at the top if he/she doesn’t have enough support from fans. To be honest, I am happy to see the US team there with the world, but looking for world cup final match, it’s hard to believe. May be there will be changed in the next generation

And yet the US team has been participating in the World Cup. And our US women football team is one of the strongest teams in women football. We can be up there even with little support.

To me, this little support is the real support from the fans who truly love football. They don't want football to turn into a business as like other businesses from other sports.

It's still real sports, and I prefer to see it this way. Maybe it's just me.
