sometimes the problem about travel it's not a question of money but yes of priorities in life, some people think that it's best to have an expensive car, a big house with nice tv and all this stuff and they have never been abroad, from the other side we have the people that have already travelled to very large number of destinations and if you take a look they probably don't have to much materialistic things, i don't know.. but i have seen people from both groups, and i guess that ones that have chosen to travel are more happy, but is just a thought, and i don't even know in which group i am, because i haven't done anything , of course this id a reality that i see in my society and can be different in other countries.

yes,we have new lunar year on 29th, in january. i think, it is the same day in both our country and your country.
in our country, on new year day, people always get together at home with families from work places. sometimes, it is one and only time to get together with families. in past several year, before new year,we always buy many kinds of foods, hehe, because during the new year time, there are no one to go out to sell vegetable. but now, with the development of our country, hehe, i can buy anything at anytime. in spite of it,every family buy fish. because fish is pronouced "yu" in china, it is the same pronouce with the remainder. all people hope that every yeat they can scrape up some money. hehe, can you understand? the day before the new year, we will attanch the spring festival scrolls to every doors of our house, including the door of kitchen and toilet. hehe.
we also pay a New Year call to our relatives and friends.
hehe,of course, buying new clothes is also a tradition.
what about you?
can you tell me?

yeah, some people think u can still travel even without money,,but i think that is only for seldom.mostly,we need some moeny for traveling,,it doesnt mean u need big money or u spend much money on travelling.but basically,we need money for transportation, for food, for accommodationg.i think firstly try to make some money ,then solve social or family economic problem.then try to save money if u really love traveling..
of course, life is a travel itself.it point is how to enjoy itself whatever the style is .anyway wish u have a good life, and have a fantastic travel in life
yes, i think so.
you are in China, i have add your MSN.hehe

Hi!
Tet is one of the biggest holiday in VietNam. It is on January 1 of the lunar calendar. It lasts from december 29 to January 3 in the lunar calendar
On New year's Eve is the most special night of the year, almost members in family get together and have dinner with many Vietnames traditional dishes and wait to midnight.People nearly don't go to sleep. When the clock sounds twelve beats, fireworks are let off at many places ( formerly, firecracker ), at the same time Vietnamese families offer food to dead ancestors. On January 1, people get up early and have breakfast with Vietnamese traditional dishes such as " banh tet or banh chung", all members in family stand round grandparents and parents to wish them a happy new year and receive lucky money from them

"Tet is one of the biggest holiday in VietNam."
hehe "tet" is the meaning of new year , am I right?
in my company, we have holiday from december 28 to January 7 in the lunar calendar . so i have to go to work on January 8 in the lunar calendar.
On New year's Eve we usually watch TV on CCTV Chanel 1. the program is Spring Festival Party. i think it is worst and worst. but it has been a tradition, so in spite that it is bad, we always spent time on it, because all menbers of my family sit together to watch it and wait to twelve as you do to give our wishes to each other and relatives and friends. we cherish the sense.
On January 1, you eat food like " banh tet or banh chung", hehe i don't know what they are. but , i think it is very delicious.
in our country we usually eat spring rolls (汤圆),it is round. the meaning is family reunion dinner .we also can get gift money from grandparents.
wish you have a happy new year!

tomorrow i'll go home. i don't have internet at home, so i can't have chance to reply you immedialy. i am sorry, but i will scan the internet per five days.

hehe, hope you still can get gift money, and get much.hehe
me too.

I work in nanjing, but my hometown is Yancheng city. Therefore, during the Spring Festival, i went home by car and came back to nanjing yesterday. Now, i work in company.
When i was at hometown, i have several get-together with previous classmates in high school and senior school. Unfortunately, i feel that many classmates are not close except several special friends who keep connection with me all the time. When we had meals, all people performed extremely politely, the atmosphere also made me polite. I don't like the feeling. I think the intimate relation had gone away and never came back.
The december bonus i got last year is only 900 yuan(RMB). I think it is litter. So now, i don't have any enthusiasm to work.
In a word, now, i feel a litter sad. Furthermore, it is cloudy sky outside. it is forecasted it will snow today.
:( :( :( :( :(

What about you?

Hi Heyxi,

Sorry to jumping in after i read your sad introduction. I followed your conversation with damyi and found that it's really interesting.

Heyxi, please dont be too pessimistic. I have been travelling to many countries in the last 3 years and I have met with many people. However, for me, only 1 country in this world which i like most. It's your country, heyxi. It's not my home country as i was not born in china. I am not a chinese citizen. My wife is pure chinese.

In my mind, china is a really amazing country. We were travelling to china for almost 1 month starting from Dec until early January this year. We visited several cities and travelled through land using a train. It was indeed very amazing. Your country has beautiful landscapes. Indeed very beautiful. I took many many pictures. I was thinking that it must be more beautiful in summer and autumn. At that time, most of the time, i just found a bit "gloomy" scenery mostly with white and gray colour.

Also, we visited several interesting places. I really enjoyed my trip. It's indeed amazing. Really amazing. I do hope that i will a chance to travel once again, to all cities in china, to taste all china and to see many cultural things. China has unique culture which i can not find anywhere else in the world.

Amazing is the last from me..
